How Bad Did The DA Hurt My Time?
I went to test my new setup yesterday and first of all it was HOT & HUMID!!!
Car details in my sig.
Best Time:
I don't have the slip with me so here is what I remember.
1.72 60'
1/8 MPH 91.25
11.90 ET
115.5 MPH
I couldn't get the car to hook (4,400 converter) so I had to settle for soft launching the car.
The DA was 2,700
Thanks,
Bill

Well I've ran 11.79 @ 118 mph in 4000' DA @ 2300' elevation. Thats 3700lb raceweight, an m6, 224 cam and unported 243s. If you ran in 0 DA I'd say you would pickup 2-3 mph and .2-.3 tenths in your 1/4. Sometimes there is more to DA readings than just the numbers. I've ran in 3000' DA with around 80% humidity and ran the same times as I've ran in 4000' DA with 20-30% but much hotter temps.

also I just ran in about the same DA 2600 ft and when I will run in -700 to 900ft my mph will increase 3-4mph...

As mentioned, the DA is just a calculation and can vary depending on time of year, what the #s are (temp, humidity, barometer, water grains and dewpoint). The rule of thumb is a tenth per 1000 DA (but that's a rough guess, and can be more or less with each car depending on how fast it is and how the engine is set-up for the conditions).
I'd say your time will drop 2-3 tenths and pick-up 2-3 mph in really good air.

yeah you should pick up a good bit, whats your race weight? in cool air i did a 11.90 at almost 116 MPH in a 348 RWHP 3460 lb 98 camaro. i would think u should be good for low 11's at 119-120 when u can hook er up
