Anyone using the affordable Compstar I beam rod ?
I found these rods and was wondering if anyone was using them or had some solid info on these . https://www.vengeancerd.com/ecart/pr...ing-Rod-650HP# They make a great quality product and for the price these seem like the best value for most builds .

Callies makes awesome products. Even their "budget" series of parts.
I have used similar rods in the past in a few builds and they have been terrific. The lighter weight of a well engineered I beam rod to me is very important to me. If I can reduce the mass of the rotating assembly and still maintain good strength throughout, then I will.
I actually much prefer a good I beam rod like these over a much heavier and not necessarily stronger H beam.
BTW, I also carry these, in case you would like to shop around a bit.

Nice price on those Mike . I think the description is the HD I beam which are rated for up to 1500hp . These affordable ones are rated for 650hp and just look great . I'll call tomorrow and get some more details . I figured Compstar would say a little about this product .

Thanks for the heads up on that.. Its been fixed. Callies offers very little info on some of their products unfortunately.
Feel free to give a call.
