Thank you, I am getting the crank balanced, I lumped that into "machine work", I will add head studs to my list, those katech rod bolts look nice, I am debating if I should replace used rods with eagle h-beams to match the new forged piston , I don't know if its overkill and worth the extra $ if the stockers are strong enough.... and edit on my cam I am getting the vengeance VRx4.

Okay so head bolts, main side bolts, and balance bolts are all tty and need to be replaced. I would just buy a LQ4 block if I was going 6.0 and put my 241 heads (which I have) and raise the compression. The problem with that is its going in a 240sx and correct me if i am mistaken, I am not sure if the accessories will fit the same as a Ls block, I would have to do more fabricating... there are pretty much bolt in kits for a LS motor into 240.

I have done some research on the LQ4/LQ9 and that looks like a great way for me to go, with the money I would spend having the 5.3 machined/re-built, I could buy a low mileage LQ, I will use the LQ shortblock and put my 241 heads on it. VRx4 cam, comp 928 springs, and a tune. I am on the hunt for a shortblock and taking my heads to be cleaned today. I have a spare complete LS-1 motor with 3 broken rods and a hole in the block , thats why I am doing this. FYI
