In desperate need of cam help/advice
Complete and total newb here respectfully requesting the knowledge of the elders. Need to have some cam suggestions.
keeping it short, and to the point;
02 Camaro SS, 18,000 miles, 6spd. Recently been bitten by the hp bug. additions include ARH 1-3/4 long tubes, y-pipe with hi-flo cats, magnaflow catback, slp lid.
what I am hoping to attain: decent/respectable power gains from a daily driver, with zero loss in drivability. Do not want courseness or roughness, and no loping, just a nice even chop. after the cam and tune, am not planning any other mods, except for perhaps ported t-body and volant cold air.
Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest looking at the Texas speed 224 or a 234 size cam. U can have a good hp gain from all the right supporting mods without having a huge cam. They do have there limits. Just stay under 600 lift and your heads should be fine, just change the springs and pushrods and you can use stock rocker arms, but I've broken 4 with a MS3 cam so I dont take chances with em anymore. Hope this helps.
