Default Tranny Cooler Line Size

Does anyone know if 5/16" rubber hose will be adequate for a B&M tranny cooler install? That is all I have layin around and would not like to have to buy more.

Thanks!

I don't think so. You have to have transmission line for the higher pressure. Didn't your cooler come eith any extra hose? If not go to any auto parts store any get some tanny hose they sale it by the foot. 5/16 is the correct size though.

Thanks for the input!

I bought this piece used and it didn't come with any hose. The rubber hose I have reads "transmission oil cooling hose/ 5/16" on the side of it. It should be ok then right?

Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah if it says transmission hose on the side then it will be fine. I went to autozone and got some extra just in case.
