Lets Go RACING !!! LTX-III
Well i made some progress tonight and put the motor back in after a quick freshen up. I was down on 3 cylinders 40, 50 and 22% leak down!!! I know i ran lean back in November on E-85, in Crandall. I added a second fuel pump and went back to Crandall and set the N/A 6spd Record. I didn't pay much attention to the smoke that was coming out of the catch can and the extra oil i had to drain after the first weekend there. Well the car set for 6 months before i pulled the car cover off and took her to a couple car shows. I decided to run at my local track in Amarillo ( 5900ft DA ) 10.9 at 127mph back to back, well before the track i ran the valves and noticed i was out of lash on one cylinder. After the test in tune, i did a leak down the following morning and discovered the down cylinders. SO, it set the record hurt and its been hurt for almost a year, and still went 10.9 in 5900ft air. Its all fixed now, the rings, and heads and a small intake vacuum leak. I am ready to hit the track again and see what it will do on 8 pumping cylinders.. I no longer have the nitrous rings and a 12% leak on the good cylinders , and after some intake modifications the vacuum pump will pull some vacuum, finally. I scaled the car and pulled 120 lbs out of her, as well as moved some weight around I would like to see some improvements over Crandall.
Anyways , I am ready for Friday TNT at Music city , then LTX at Bowling Green
See everyone there , i still have a list of things to finish so i better get back to it.

NICE! It took you way less time to pull a motor and freshen it up then it did me to do a battery relocation, alternator relocation, ABS delete, LPPs, and new TB (new baby and house projects!). That's getting it done! Look forward to meeting you and seeing the car. That engine bay and under carriage is sweet!
