Help ordering DDM Tuning HID kit
I am about to order some HIDs for my MCSS. I know I want the 35W 5000K because I want just pure white. My question do I have to add the harness or does it come with it and do I need to order 1 or 2. Also the MCSS uses the 9006 bulb correct.

The MCSS uses H11's in the headlights and fogs. Stick with the 35w's. My 5000k's have a hint of blue still in them.
They sell them as a pair in the kits, you will need 2 kits if you are doing both the H/L's and fogs. I recommend doing both to match.
The kits I got were plug in replacements - all I had to do was drill a hole in the access doors of the H/L assy - but the kit also comes with a grommet to close it off.

I bought the harness. For a couple bucks more, better to be safe than sorry, imo.
Regarding the light output, 4300k is the brightest, whitest light. 5000k, as Kaz mentioned, has a hint of blue. That's what I have in my projectors.

The 5K's are good, I have 2 sets, it seems the fogs are a little dimmer than the headlights on my Monte.
The 6K's are nice too, if I had to do it over again IMO I would go 6K. (They are a little more Eruo/Cadillac esque)

I have DDM 5000k in the projectors and 3000k (yellow) in the fogs. The 3000k are mismatched (ones bright yellow, the other has an orange tinge to it), but I've never contacted them about it. Previous to that, one ballast failed and I got an RMA, but never returned it since I had extra ballasts from previous kits.
For the last month, one fog hasn't worked and I haven't looked into the "why" of it all. All of a sudden, the D/S headlight ballast is going bad...I had a headlight flicker the other day, and shut off on me last night. It fired up when I restarted the car, though, so I'm leaning towards the ballast instead of the bulb.
Now I just need to spend the time figuring out if it's the other DDM ballast that has failed, or the non-DDM replacement I used when the first one failed. Once I figure it out, I'll submit for a RMA for all of the stuff at once.
When this all comes to fruition, I'll let you know about my experience with their "FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY" on bulbs and ballasts.

For how cheap the harness is buy it. The ballasts to ignite the gas in the bulb need a full 12 volt zap which sometimes a cars stock wiring can not provide. For a couple bucks more you can buy it and know every time you turn the lights on both bulbs are going to ignite and run with the proper power levels they need.
I've had three cars with them and it's worth the couple extra bucks especially with the inline fuse.

The DDM 3k fogs are a nice touch when it's actually foggy. Mine are a bith more green than orange.
Some pics for reference. I went with 6k lows/3k fogs. I think it's a pretty good look and I wanted mine just a touch blue over the OEM.

i stand corrected. even though i never said they didnt offer them. they do offer 4500. ill take your word on them always offering them. ive never worked for them before. according to there color chart 5k looks the whitest. which is what i said. 4500 appears to be heading towards the yellow side. carry on. ill take my .02 cents with me.

You can buy harnesses for under $10 and can make them yourself even cheaper, so there's no excuse to NOT have this little bit of insurance.

FWIW, I've had both 5000k and 6000k for my lows and only 4500k for my fogs. Out of the 3, I think 4500k has been the whitest in person IMO. From looking at the chart @ DDM, I thought it would have some yellow in there. Not so much lol.

That blue hue comes from the color flicker. Want the color flicker (blue, purple hues)? Get a quality projector.
