Default cam and head kit

Ok i have a newby question. I found a guys selling his head and cam kit from his 1999 LS1 Firebird.
its used and i want to know if its a good package to put in my 1998 stock LS1?

HEAD: PRC 5.3L Stage 2.5 62cc around 4000miles 1200.00$

CAMSHAFT: FM4 226/226 .575/.575 112+4degrees LSA , around 7500miles 250.00$

I have a catback, cold air intake and the MAF was port and polish by the previous owner.

So is it a good kit or i should forget that?

I think I would pass. You can get a TSP kit with a cam, those heads, gaskets, springs, pushrods ect. for 1800-2000. That way you get the excitement of ripping everything out of the new packaging!

heads might not be a bad deal if he wanted a little less. For 100 bucks more you can get a brand new set. The cam specs dont look bad but think about what you want out of the car also, dont settle on any old cam. Also you're gonna want LT's with a heads and cam setup otherwise it wont have as much potential.
