Default Help with engine combos

This is my first LS build. I have a 71 Camaro that I am building the motor for. I have a 6.0L LQ4 complete with 317 casting heads, I would like to get 425 rwhp. I would like to possibly use patriot heads, stock LS6 intake. What cam, injector, throttle body setup would I need to use to achieve my 425 hp goal. Or will I have to use better heads and intake to get to 425? Thanks for the advice.

Get a set of 243 heads, mill them .035" to 59cc, and you'll have a nice solid 11:1 on a LQ4. I'm using a TBSS intake and Edelbrock 3869 90mm cable throttle body. You'll probably want quite a bit bigger cam than I'm going with, since you're in a much lighter car.

First set a budget! Then you can buy the quality bolt-ons you will need.
Start with a set of built Dart Pro 225cc heads, SLP 85mm MAF, FAST LSX intake (90mm), ported OEM TB, 42lb injectors and lastly a good tune. You should easily make 425RWHP with a 230/236 Cam. Comp Cams can grind you up a custom cam just for your specific needs.

You could try a Thunder Racing grind. I like the Raptr cam 236/242 .615/.615 111LSA (3000-6500 RPM) a 3600 stall minimum (Auto Trans) Vengeance's "Vindicator" or one of their VR-X series cams might be ideal. or LG's X series cams seem to show quality results. I run their G5x3 114 myself, and it with stock heads brought me over 400hp on stock 98' Heads through a 4l60E 3600 Yank Stall.
