Need help on window track issue
I had my window down and launched it in front of my parents back in June, and hear a bang. I think "Hmm what did i just break," I get home and roll the window up its 3 inches to far back i grab and can move front to back.
Ok I'm pretty sure my window track is broke. I replaced the regulator and the window still slides front to back. My question is am I gonna have to head to the junkyard to piece it together or does somebody sell this stuff new. I searched for a couple hours but all i can find are regulators or whole doors-which i would like to stay away from 1- shipping is ridiculous and 2-dont want it to happen again in 6 months.
So basically wondering if has happen to anyone else and how the fixed it.
TIA
Lesson learned: If I'm gonna launch it roll the windows up.

I was looking for a picture but couldn't find one right now.
What probably happened is that there is a guide/roller that is located on the lower left corner of the track that is attached to the window glass. The guide has probably broke off the window. If you take off the door panel and look the guide is probably still inside the track that is bolted to the door.
I will see if I can find a pic or someone else might have one.

I have the exact same failure mode. I was thinking I'd have to replace the sheet metal piece that is folded around the base of the window or I'll have to buy a used window/sheet metal assembly. The sheet metal piece is what the guide was/is attached to.
