I have installed a 04 LS1 from a GTO into a 67 corvette. I have a problem. I can start the car 1 time, it runs great. I can rev the engine just fine and it idles great. Turn the car off and count to 30, and I can forget about the car starting backup. If it does start, it sounds like it's firing off of every other cyclinder and smokes like a train. Smoke is black. I'm pretty sure it's due to flooding. I can disconnect the battery and wait 45mins then reconnect the battery and it will start again and run fine.

I have changed both the crank shaft sensor and the cam shaft sensor. I also have a aftermarket wiring harness. It seems like the computer forgets what its supposed to do.

The car would start and run great with no problems, then one day it started this.

Can someone give me any suggestions on what to check or do?

Just takin a guess. It may be a ground sum where giving u problems. My buddy had a ground off and everytime he turned his lights on it died lol. Check ur grounds. Since u swapped it in an older ride
