Exhaust taboo???
Ok, so i love the sound of my SLP.. but... i want something i dont hear everyday and you all know that EVERY combination has pretty much been done and most of them can be heard everywhere... i recently saw a video on youtube of an S14 silvia with an LS1 conversion H/C only as far as i can tell.. He has the tuner muffler on it and it sounds crazy...

i know these mufflers dont restrict much so why not go for a new sound?
Im sure ill catch some **** for asking this but to hell with it...

I've been searching for a looooong time to find an exhaust that doesn't sound metallic as hell. LS1 just doesn't have a good sounding exhaust note IMO. I like the LT1 much much better with the same exhaust bolted to it. The best I've found to what I want is the hooker aerochamber, but its still a little off.

If we are talking catbacks if you want something different definitely go with a modular setup. Your best option would be to buy a TSP Rumbler and then swap the dynomax bullet for the muffler of your choice. I ran a LM1 resonator in place of it, my friend runs a Magnaflow bullet, and another runs a Flowmaster 10 series. Detoxx ran it with a Borla XR1, sounded mean as hell. But the options are endless.

sounds like your a little bored with your setup. mods out of boredom usually end in regret. in reality you have a nice *** car, even it being 10 years old which is rare. you have IMO the best/classic manifold/loud setups thats why its not that rare. a WS6 LM1 w/manifolds is classic and now getting rare with all the LT cars. go for a run and do some pushups.

Change the muffler out if you want a different sound, your options are endless. And +1 on not doing mods out of boredom. One of my friends was bored with his stock LS1 so he put a cutout on it. Then he got bored with that and put duals on stock manifolds. And now hes bored with that and wants LTs. So he has to change his setup yet again.
