Default Low drivers alternator belt squeeks

Put an L92 into an old 68 camaro. Used vette type set up and put the original L92 alternator in a drivers side low position. The low alt is just not sitting right. I think its touchig the frame and wont sit flush on the motor. I have it on 3/4 inch spacers but the belt squeels when I blip the throttle.

Ideas?

1. Notch frame?
2 Grind / Trim Alt?
3. Raise eng mounts?

Does GM make a smaller alternator that fits in place of the original vette/LS3 like a race alternator?

Thanks in advance.

How did you even manage to install the alternator if it's up against the frame?

GM has smaller alternators. The 4th gen f-bodys are smaller, but I don't have a good measure on how much smaller.

The squealing could be related to the tensioner not having enough tension. Put a wrench on the tensioner and give it more tension while blipping the throttle and see if the squeal goes away.

I had this problem with my ac and was able to determine the tensioner as the problem.
