Default LS6 Questions

What is the RPM limit on the factory LS6 lifter?
I went to touch up a tune on a car with a stroked (383) LS6 that had added a different intake manifold. Someone else had previously tuned the car. It has ported 243s and a big cam, catless Kooks with factory lifters.
The owner had his mechanic drive and everything was going normally until he decided to check the line lock. He banged it off the revlimiter in first and second at 7300 rpm then released it and we went straight into a ditch.
After we drove out of the ditch and got a mile down the road the car caught fire. It had blown the dipstick out and got oil all over the header.
Weeks later, after the fire damage was fixed the lifter on the #2 exhaust valve completely collapsed. After replacement that header tube is 80 degrees cooler that the others.
This motor only had 600 miles on it at the time.
Can factory LS6 lifters stand 7300 RPMs?
What could be causing the low temp on the header tube?
