Wink will these cams fit?

I was looking through my Scoggin dickey parts center catalog and i found these cams and was wondering if any of them would fit with stock 853 heads and no fly cutting. I would love to fit the cam on the bottom i bet it would sound devilish

236/248 .601/.615 112 lsa +18 overlap
238/247 .640/.610 114 +14.5
240/254 .609/.595 112 +23
248/262 .614/.596 113 +29

1st and 2nd might fit (if .640 lift isn't too much) but the 3rd and 4th will most likey need flycutting or more. The Trex and MS4 should fit without flycutting but some have had PTV issues. Their specs are both 242/248 - .608/.612 - 110 lsa and 237/242, .603"/.609", 113 LSA.

Biggest doesn't always = faster though.....usually just makes for a dyno queen.

You are gonna get *** raped by small camm'd cars Do you even know what rpms those have to be spun to to get the big numbers? I don't even see gears listed in your sig. I see fail in your future.

lol i dont race from a dig, i still have the stock 10 bolt and i want at least 400whp cam only so i doubt a small cammed car is gonna get me from a roll. plus i just want the biggest nastiest sounding cam i can get lol i dont really care as i rarely ever race. also i have the busa for the real serious races hehe!

If you want to break 400rwhp cam only and have an awesome sound you don't have to put the biggest cam possible in and lose drivability and low end. Something between a 228/232 and the MS4 should meet your 400-410rwhp goal with no problem but still have acceptable low/midrage. Something like the Thunder Racing Camshaft

been thinking about the ms4 for a while but just looking for something a lil different that nobody else has. i dont really care about low/ midrange power and driveability. if i wanted that i wouldnt put a cam in it and why put a small cam in when your just gonna want a bigger one later anyways lol

Well if you don't care about drivability or low/mid range power how about a custom texas speed cam, they are the same price as their off the shelf cams,

You could do a 236/240 .602/.609 112 on XER lobes which would be different than a MS4 that a lot of people run but it should still make 410-415rwhp through an m6/10 bolt.

I think all four cams list will be below minimum recommended PTV. How tight you want to run is your call.

The 110 lsa Trex usually peaks around 6400rpm and pulled to 6800-6900rpm.

why does that matter. when you race your not gonna race from idle to 3k your gonna race till redline, thats where a big cam is gonna blow that lil ***** cam away. Just remember the mod that matters the most is the driver

Yes, I understand this. But "redline" is adjustable, and where you set your redline determines how much power your "big cam" car makes and how long your "big cam" motor lives. Just stick the biggest *** cam you can fit in there and come race me from 30 mph. BTW, if you are wanting a nasty cam that no one has, look on Cam Motion's website. They got anything you want. They ARE the manufacturer. The make the cams in house homie

Here's a cam motion car:

i personally would not run cams that huge. i think those cams will be fine driving around as long as your tuner tunes that thing spot on. Even with a good tune, i think you still will have some bucking and surging trying to drive that car around with cams that big. But also, if your gonna spend the money for a cam, cam install and tune you might as well get all the power you can for your money..

A smaller cammed/stalled a4 will wreck you out of the hole and then you'll need to try and track it down before the finish.

EPS is a great place to spec your cam and they have been making great numbers but why do you need something nobody has? Hoping for some magical cam that gives you 500rwhp?

A smaller cam (224-230 range) will be more fun on the street. Unless you plan on spending your life above 5500rpm. Also you're putting that engine in jepordy spinning to 6800-7000rpm often.
