Default throttle body interchangability

Hey guys I have a question, I have a 98 car and need to know if I can run a 00 throttle body. I searched and all I can find out is the spring and throttle Cam is different but not sure if it will work with my throttle and cruise cable.

You can use any F-body TB, and you can use a truck
from the early years. The cam profile is different but
the net cable draw length to full open is the same.
Truck PCV fitting is different, but these can be swapped.
Cable cam & throttle shaft can be swapped too. The
cruise depends onwhether you have ASR or not, non-
ASR plugs into the cable cam with a little clip and all
years pretended ASR was an "option" (though good luck
finding a later year without).

Castings are identical P/N, all years, F-bodies & trucks.

So does the TB cam just control the rate at which the throttle opens? Or is there more to it?
