how hard is it to replace a radiator tank?

Default how hard is it to replace a radiator tank?

my throttle body bypasss hose nipple broke off and radiator shops want an arm and a leg to replace the tank how hard is it to replace it yourself and what do you need to do?

Are you talking about the plastic side tanks on the radiator? Maybe you could JB weld the broken plastic back on and reconnect? Maybe the TB coolant bypass mod- especially for cars driven in warm climates? Just a couple of ideas!

I broke the steam port right under the rad cap off, I just threaded a brass fitting into the hole with teflon tape and never had a problem.
