Not certain about F-bodies but on the Y-bodies (Corvette), the BCM is the hub that all the other modules communicate through.

if your useing the ls1 pcm and harness they should work fine. i used a v6 camaro cluster (o1 i think) in my mustang and the tach, coolant temp, speedo and volts are all form one wire and the oil presure is another. but they all came straight from the pcm harness.

im doing a malibu now and im going to use a stock cluster andthis time i wanna see if i can get the fuel gauge to work too.

lt1 with ls1 pcm? or lt1 pcm? if you are using the ls1 pcm u can use the 01 and up cluster. with an lt1 harness u can use the 97 cluster which fits the 4th gen fbody dashboards

Hmmm that sounds like you still have the BCM still hooked up. I dont have a BCM on this harness so the LS1 PCM has nothing to send the signals to to convert so the dash can read it. BUT if the 97 cluster worked without a BCM then I may be in luck!

Im using the LS1 PCM to control the LT1 engine using the EFI conection setup for the crank and cam sensors aswell as some truck coils.

I just bought a BCM for my truck on e-bay, let me know if you'd like the guy that I got it from. Don't forget this module has to be flashed by the stealership.

NO BCM here. just the ls1 ecu and an 01 cluster.

Sweet. What pin did you use on the pcm? I wonder if the v8 cluster is similar. Everything I have read says you can't use it without the bcm. Got and pics of the wires you used on the cluster?
