Default Accessory drive vvt first gen camaro

I am putting a l92 into my 1969 firebird. Build thread to come.

I am ordering parts atm. Need advice on accessory drive.

Has anyone used the 2010 camaro accessory drive kit in a first gen camaro? How well does it fit?
https://02c0c2a.netsolstores.com/ind...&ProdID=265470

Is the 2010 camaro waterpump the same for ls3 and l99? Meaning accessory drive same in ls3/l99 camaro. Rock Auto shows the same part number for them.

Another option is Kwik Performance brackets. It places alternator high. http://www.kwikperf.com/lsx_alt_ps.html

I have seen pictures of l92 waterpump with forward facing outlets.http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...P2565C500.aspx Do these exsit or is it for "illustrative" purposes and you end up with a l92 waterpump with the 45degree outlet?

Third option is to get a 'vette accessory drive and spacers.

Did I miss any options? besides $2k solutions.

I am curious as well. I am considering an LY6 into a second gen Bird and I have all of the pieces for a 98-02 Fbody accessory drive and I was going to run spacers. If the L99 setup is better, than I would be open to that too.

See the build thread in my link. I am putting hybrid system together using the L99 waterpump and ps, but probably changing the alternator mounting because the L99 spaces the alternator away from the block more than the 4th gen F-bodies, which have fitment issues as it is.

Cant believe I didnt see your thread when I searched. Do you think l99 water pump/power steering pump with a f-body alt bracket spaced 3/4" will work together? It appears that the truck/vvt setup is 3/4" further out than older f-body.

Yes, I think a 4th gen f-body alternator bracket + idler would work fine with spacers. You may have to use a 4th gen f-body alternator also because the truck alternator is larger and I don't think it would fit between the frame. The wiring on the 4th gen f-body alternator is different, so it's not plug & play with the L92 harness/ECM, but I'm sure there are ways to make it work.

When placing the alternator low like that, the positioning of the engine will affect whether or not it fits. Too low or too far back and it may not clear the subframe.

Here is an example of a 4th gen f-body accessory drive on a truck 6.0 in a Nova (same subframe as the 1st gen Camaro) from this thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...0-build-2.html I believe this is without spacing forward, so spacing may give more room.

Do those adapters share the lower bolt hole between the original motor mount and engine boss? That's the best side picture I've seen in a while. It looks like the front face of your engine block is even with the front face of the main subframe crossmember. Is that the case?
