engine building pressure in valve covers...need help!
Ok a little back ground info...It is a rebuilt LS1 with just over a 1k miles. Has heads, cam, lifters, pushrods, rockers, lS6 valley cover, LS6 intake manifold, and long tubes. Has a tune for all but the stock rebuilt short block, 1.75 rockers, and long tubes. Started out with a poor idle and then i noticed the sound of pressure letting off after i kill the engine. Mech says thats from the valve covers. if you remove the oil cap it shoots it off. If you give the engine a vaccume leak it idles better, guessing the cam needs more air at idle. My main worry is the pressure building up in the covers.
Any thoughts?
