Default Cam position sensor question

Hello all,

Just put my 2001 T/A together with an MS4, new lifters, pushrods and springs in it. Started up just great but I noticed my tachometer is not working. I'm pritty sure I know where the sensor is.. but just to make sure, its right behind the intake manifold comming vertically out of the top of the block right? Mine only had 1 white wire in it to begin with and seemed.. flimsy at best. This it? thanks

Ian

I don't believe the car will start without that plugged in (mine didn't), but its worth a try. If you reach from the passenger side you should be able to feel the plug, right under the block on the back of the intake manifold for the MAP and vacuum lines.

Yeah thats the oil pressure sending unit. Probably not the reason you tach didn't work.

Cam position sensor is right next to OPSU. W/O the CPS plugged in the tach will not work. My CPS came undone when I was putting everything back together and started the car and the tach was not working. It was harder to start also.
