2003 Z06 Oil Pressure
I just had a quick question, and it could be completly normal, but I noticed when my 03 Z06 was idling for about 10 minutes my oil pressure seemed to be a little low, it was around 30 or so (engine was warmed up) My oil pressure is always usually a little under 40 to 50 during normal driving conditions. No motor work done, stock internals, with just intake and exhaust. Just seeing if this is a normal act of the Z06's and that its safe for the pressure to get that low. Any input will be much appriciated! thanks guys!

If you increase revs to 1500 and pressure climbs and continues to climb as you rev then you are fine. I worry about what my pressure is at 3000 more than at idle. Bearing clearances open up as an engine wears so pressure will drop some with miles.

My oil pressure in my 03Z is usually around 32-35 when idling after the motor has warmed up to about 180-200*.
While cruising, you should see about 40PSI. Get on the gas and it should shoot up to about 45-60 throughout the RPM range.
Check your oil level while cold and warm. Also, how old is the oil and what oil/weight do you have in there?
I'm running Amsoil Sig Series 0w30 and it's about 60-80* out here most of the time.
