I wouldn't put it on my car if you paid me but to answer your question, yes it should go one with little hassle.

Looks to me as if it would just take in heated air from under the hood area from the motor and radiator and just slow him down.

Cold air is free horsepower.

That's the "Add turbulence" model.

Any dual cone intake will add turbulence. Do yourself a favor and get a honker, blackwing, vortex rammer or vararam. The rest aren't worth it.

thank you for input gents! Can someone elaborate on what exactly "Add turbulence" mean? and how much HP would be gained from a CAI on an ls6?

simply explained as disrupted or uneven air flow...not a good thing for hp

5-10 depending on which you go with which doesn't include the one you listed.

Sounds right to me.

The smoother the air flows into the intake manifold, the more power you'll make (to a degree). The manifold is designed to funnel air when it's needed. Back in the day it didn't matter how the air got in as long as it got lots of air. But as the technology for fuel atomization got better, the balance between air velocity and how predictable the air flow was started shifting. Yes, more pressure means more air in the chamber. But on non-force-inducted motors, it will only pull as much air as the stroke can suck in. Therefore the intake manifold will direct said "sucked in air" to the designated chamber as best it can. Smoother air means more direct flow to the correct combustion chamber.

I hope that clears it up.
