Leaking 4l60e, bad news?

Leaking 4l60e, bad news? My trany has had a leak for a while now and i would like to fix it. It is coming from the front of the trans but i cant tell if it is from the back of the tc or front of the tranny, i am prett sure its the tranny. What would be entailed to fix this leak? is it hard to do?

Chances are, if it's coming from the front of the tranny, it's the pump seal, from what I hear, it's not an uncommon problem.
If it is, you'll have to pull the tranny.
If you're due up for a rebuild, that'd be the time to do it.
