Special Edition Vehicles - GMMG Berger/Tom Henry Stripes

Did the GMMG Berger and Tom Henry cars have their stripes painted on? If so who did them for Matt? I am wanting to get some stripes done and if the painter is in Atlanta, I am close enough to get the car to them. If they were Vinyl does anyone know where I can find the Vinyl ones?

Afterthoughtsauto.com (sponsor on the right) has the vinyl stripes. I don't believe they were ever painted on.

Only Stripes I see on their site is the Grand Sports

All of the stripes on our cars are decals except for the Johnny Benson Berger Camaro. Those are painted on. They were done by Berger Chevrolet.

That is what most Tom Henry Camaro's came with. You want the Berger one's then. I know of a site, but not off hand that has them.

I had mine painted on in Hudsonville, Michigan by the person that painted them on for berger.

Yes all the berger cars were decals, but Jeff is the one that came up with the stripe design. He was hoping he would get to paint them on, but I guess they ended up using the decals instead. I do know that other berger cars that were sent out for phase II from GMMG had the option to get the stripes painted on. Not sure how many actually got painted on. My car is obviously not a berger car, but just loved those stripes and glad I found him to have them done.

Thanks for the info Smales. I love the look of the stripes myself too! Does anyone know where I can find the stripes in vinyl decal?

I'll have to add that bit of info from Judge Smales to my Berger section on my site if I ever get around to making that section!

Phase 1 Berger SS's came standard with decal stripes.

Phase 2 Berger SS's came with painted stripes.

Berger did their own paint on the Berger SS's

So does anyone know where the phase 1 decals came from?

you could probably call vengeance racing and ask them, they are the guys that probably put them on the car at gmmg.

Any difference to painting vs decals? Are the decals clear coated over the top or just thrown on? Wondering what would hold up better over time.... I guess I'd rather have paint as then everything is the same and its just cool to say "everything has been painted on, no decals or stickers" :pimp:

Paint would be far better than vinyl decal but finding someone competent enough to paint them correct where I live would be a nightmare.

I looked into those as well but from the pictures it looks like they are a 4 peice hood set. (Notice the line along the base of the scoop)

I gave the pictures to my painter he say's its easy so we'll wait two weeks and see how they come out.
