2004 GTO Wiring Harness Mod
Everyone, I have reviewed a bunch of stickies and other posts on reworking my wiring harness, but I still have a few questions.
Here's where I stand. I have deleted the following items.
Blue connector
#23, 25, 28, 65, 68
Green connector
#34, 45, 52, 53, 64
Basically the rear O2 sensors, EVAP, fuel pressure, fuel level sensor.
Are there more to delete?
I am also tying to figure out what wires I need coming into the car or route to relays.
So far I understand it to be...
Blue connector 33, 58, 34?,
Green connector 42, 50, 9, 33
Is this correct? Am i missing anything?
What pin is the AC request? is it 18 on the green connector?
And where is the low speed signal for the fans?
Do the other wires coming into the car just get removed?
Thanks
Mike

A/C request is handled by the BCM on the 2004 GTO. I have the same motor and just finished making my harness stand alone. The low speed fan relay is off the BCM, too. It would be easiest to just get an F-body PCM. I got one with custom tuning from Frost who is a sponsor on this site. He is very easy to deal with and responsive.

Thanks, for the larger white plug that is inside the car there are a few wires that go back to the transmission. Are these required? And if so what does that white plug connect to?
Also, did I read somewhere that one side of the injectors need a pink wire to them instead of the green wire?
Thanks

Yes, one bank is pink and one is green. I removed all of the transmission control wires for my build as the original was not going to be used. I think the white connector you refer to is the C206 connector. Get an alldata subscription for the year car the motor is coming out of. It has pictures of the connectors and pinouts for them telling you what wires go where. I have one for the 2004 GTO. If you post a picture of the connector I can get the info for you.

Just got the alldata subscription. And it is the 206. I see this 206 plugs into the harness that then goes to the BCM. When I trace some of these wires a few go to the transmission. These are the wires I am wondering about.
7 - ignition 1 voltage
9 - delivered torque signal
17 - requested torque signal
Do these extra wires just get removed?

If you are not going to be using traction control you don't need the delivered torque signal. The ignition wire gives the BCM voltage, if I am wrong here someone can correct me. I took them all off.
