Sorry it did not send me replies to my email. I didnt know that anyone saw these or even wrote on them.

So for, 01ssreda4, its more of a pole barn. it has no isolation, just a concrete floor.

Ya the smoke got me worried for a few minutes but it soon cleared up so nothing to keep me stressed about now.

I will soon be getting a new suspension package and correct tire size for the rims in the next few weeks. It probably wont come out much until spring though. It is not a winter car.

Here is a video of the project moving on my driveway.

Thats alot of numbers. looking at the chart again. Why do you use the intake duration 228 and then use the exhaust duration @ .050" lift for the 230 instead of the duration 283?

Both intake and exhaust figures are at .50. Thats just how most LS cams are discussed around here.

Curious about a check engine light on this swap. Would Running a 228/230 .571/.573 110 cam on a stock computer cause this code manifold absolute pressure/ barometric pressure circuit range/ performance problem?

I need to get a tune I just dont want to have it break on me before I get there.
it dumps out alot of fuel at start up causing black smoke and as a very hard time trying to find idle. As far a drive ability I dont know yet, It has only moved down the driveway and back.

The SES light could be from a few things. You will need to pull the codes to find out. If you don't have all 4 02's installed and working that could be the cause of it right there. Whatever you do, don't beat on it without tuning. It is most likely very lean at WOT.

Are you running the factory injectors?

this is the code it pulls, I put that in my previous post; P0106 manifold absolute pressure/ barometric pressure circuit range/ performance problem?

I have two 02 sensors with the rear two deleted from the PCM. The PCM is not tuned yet for this comp cam, 228/230 .571/.573 110. And yes running factory injectors.

I just want to make sure I dont need to be looking some where else until I get my tune done. I torqued the manifold and heads down properly with new ARP bolts and felpro gaskets, The sensors are all in their correct spots. I have a new Granetelli MAF that I ran last conversion for 3 weeks without any problems. There is no hissing sounds while running either, like a vacuum leak or exhaust leak.

the smoke could be from new gaskets!

ok, thank you, What I really am concerned with is the code though. When I did a search it came up with symptoms that suggest that the engine smoking is from this. So my main concern is the code.

I don't think that code is because of the cam. My guess would be that the computer is not getting a signal from the manifold pressure sensor.

Pretty cool project, looks like a fun car.
