Going to be doing a l98 to ls1 swap soon but I am looking for the better ls1 I guess??? Looking at an ls1 from an 03 vette? I know ,NOOOOOB q.

Pretty much an LS1 is an LS1. 3 distinctions. 97-98 use a different computer and are not interchangeable with later models without some effort. 2001 and later have the LS6 intake manifold, a good thing but not critical. Accessory drives are different between Corvette and FBody and GTO and can not be intermixed. They all make about the same power and have the same components.

So then my question should refer to electronics. Would the newer electronics be more benificial ( for tuning aspect ) or are the older ones just as tune friendly? Thanks Pat.
