Monster Stage 2/3 Vs Centerforce 12in DF
Im looking for a new clutch and im down to these three. Id like to keep the cost as low as possible while still getting a clutch that can handle my needs. The car is full weight and 400rwhp I dont have any plans to increase its power anytime soon. I would at some point like to get a 9inch rear and go to the track some but the car is mostly a street car.
The Centerforce setup would be $547 Shipped
Centerforce 12 inch DF395010 clutch kit
New slave cylinder
New pilot bearing
Used resurfaced PRW 24lb Billet Flywheel
Tick remote Bleeder
The Monster Setup would be either a stage 2 or 3 premium kit with the either the 18lb or 28lb flywheel and a tick remote bleeder. The Cost would be around 670-750 Shipped depending on the options I choose.
I would like to keep the cost as low as I can and still have a good setup that could handle a few hard launch's at the track once in a while. Can the Centerforce handle this or do I need the monster?
BTW I already have a Tick MC and thanks for the help in advance.

I had the Centerforce and it sucks. A lot of vibration due to the weights. I called tech support and the guy said to remove the weights. I said if thats the case why put the weights on in the first place. I will never run a Centerforce again.

Well im gonna get the monster clutch now Ive gotta decide between the stage 2 and the stage 3. Id rather have the stage 2 but Im worried that if I ever put a 9 inch in my car and throw some slicks on it that it wont hold up. I don't wouldn't be hardcore racing just hitting the track every couple months. Would the stage 2 hold up to some clutch dumps on slicks as long as I let it cool down good between runs?

Your best bet is to call/PM/Email the Monster guys. I'm going to be going with a full disc when I jump ship to get a new clutch, so Stg 2 it is for me. They are pretty much designed as a high grip street clutch able to handle some track, says it right on their website.
