Default cam shoot out ls6

how about a cam shoot out.use a ls6 crate motor and only allow a cam, spring, push rod ,and injector change out.

Count us in. I'd love to redyno our car now that it's got a few miles on it.

The ETs and MPH just keep getting better. I'm still shocked to be honest.

LS6 crate motor? Contrary to internet belief, stock 28.8lb injectors will handle 440-450rwhp no problem. I doubt anybody is pulling that out of an LS6 crate engine, with any cam. So in short, no need for injector changes.

THANK YOU!
Ive had quite a few internet "know-it-all's" say B.S. when I tell them that I used stock 28.8 in my old H/C setup making 455rwhp.

Yep. I do several 98 or 01+ cars with stock injectors in the 440-450 range. No problem.

BTW, since this thread does not have any dyno results in it, it's being moved to the internal section.

we've dyno tested tons of camshafts on LS1 & LS6 setups. What are you looking at & we probably have a graph.

Will the stock injectors handle over 400 hp? Of course they will. Are they designed to handle this? Of course they aren't. Its all relevent here gentlemen, you start doing things stock parts are not designed to do and you are asking for trouble i.e. 10 bolt rear ends, stock clutches etc. etc. Its also not advisable to run an injector over 80% duty cycle. Now surely Josh you arent saying stock injectors can support 450 hp at or below 80% DC?

We could all likely run cam or H/C LS1s all day with stock injectors. But are we wanting our car's engines to be closer to the ragged edge or further. For me, I'd take the latter.
