oil pump failed, swapping to lq4/lq9. what cant i reuse?

Default oil pump failed, swapping to lq4/lq9. what cant i reuse?

like it says my oil pump failed. im gonna swap in an lq4/lq9 what cant i reuse, besides head bolts and gaskets.

It depends what year the motor is but pretty much everything from your LS1 will swap over to the iron block. The alternator bracket will be a little different but thats about it.

Ya all your accessories, oil pan, covers, sensors, all that good stuff will transfer.

how did that happen the oil pump on these motors dont look like there very complicated

Bypass valves stick open. Pump still flows, but the opening dumps it right back into the pan

Pull it out and see

If it's scuffed, wiped a lobe, or overheated the surface its done for. No way to know until you look
