If you dont play for the team, bragging about what your HS football team does is pretty sad.

No one should ever cheer for any team ever, if you don't play for it. /sarcasm

Its HS football, not the yankees... Playing HS football is part of the entire HS experience. If you didn't play, you missed out. If you weren't in the band you went out for HS football. At least thats how things were at my school. And we sucked ***.

Its a freaking sport man. Its no more lame than cheering for the college you went to, or didn't go to, or a professional team. Its all relative to what you like best. I don't follow high school, but know those that do. I'm more into college, than pro, and cheer for a school I didn't go to. The only thing that is lame about any of it are the Homer fanatics that obsess about a particular sport or team. I will admit the high-school ones creep me out more than others, but they are all equally pathetic.

Congrats, I played in the 4A championship twice, back in the day. Lost to LaMarque both times. Did have a chance to win state in baseball though. Was a good experience. Can't say I really partied b/c of it though.

Congrats buddy...I had 3 State Championship rings in high school for football in '02, '03, and '04. Byrnes High School from SC, ever heard of em? They have won 7 of the last 9 AAAA state ship's and dominated this decade in SC. Home of the future Heisman Marcus Lattimore.

I see ya'll are ranked nationally, thats awesome! Byrnes has been in the #1 spot a couple times ih recent years but can't ever hold it.

I was looking at the game on TV and was exciting g. For those people hatting on if u not in the team dont brag just need to stfu! Its all about having school spirit when ur there and obviously penguin has it. I played h.s basketball our team won state champs in 04 the record was 39-0 and I was not in the team yet but knew I was going to that school the yr after plus I was friends win most. Every yr we went to state play offs the final 4 and lost after that but wewere always ranked high. And yes we stompt on pearland lol... milby h.s.

Congrats on the win glad someone local won the championship!

The kid's still in High School and his school's team just did something awesome, you guys that are expecting him to not be excited are just wrong, stop trying to take his joy! Were you not excited when the Rockets won back to back championships? Did you play for them? Congrats Pearland, good work! Trey, don't listed to these haters, they probably got their asses kicked in high school and are still holding onto that baggage. Pity them, but don't listed to them.

He goes to the school. There's nothing wrong with being excited about your school's team winning. He probably has friends on the team.
