Default New guy looking for some advice on a 99 Z28 LS1

Hey guys, I am looking into buying a 1999 Z28 Camaro with the LS1 motor. Has just under 60,000 miles.

Problems:
Crack in Windshield
Driver side leather seat is wearing
Driver side window button broken.

I've done a little research and believe I can fix all of the problems for just under $500.

Other than these problems the car is nearly flawless. It is light blue in color.

This is a list of everything done to the motor
4:10 gears
3200 stall(TCI street fighter conversion)
Full manual valve body
B & M shifterComp. Cam (581 lift)
Stage 2 ported and polished head with double comp
Spring titanium retainers
Comp. Chromeoly pushrods
Long tube hooker headers and Y pipe both are jet hot coated
Lingenfelter siganture holley aluminum intake
Comp. Cam adjustable timing set
Tranny cooler
New computer and all computer work has been done
Chrome 18" Z06 wheels with less than 5000 miles on them
12 disc cd changer

Seller also has almost every stock part from the car as well that he is willing to give to me with the car.

He's asking 15,000 OBO.

What do you guys think?

no! that is a bad deal. honest for 15k it shouldnt have any windshield prob and it shouldnt even be 15k if its not even an ss. the z28s are a dime a dozen and with the year it is just not worth it! even with the mods (which are mild) you could find a newer car with a perfect windshield for thousands cheaper. take your time and search around for a better deal. IMO for the car you are looking at it should be around 8-9k. again, it is not an ss, and z28s can be found for cheaper and better conditions. be patient and wait for a better deal. it is good that you checked with ls1tech before pulling trigger. good luck man

Even with the mods, that seems like a lot of money. Plus, personally, I'd prefer an unmolested car to start with unless you know who did the mods, and modded cars usually are a little harder to sell. I paid $7400 for my LS1 M6 with 100k miles a few months ago and if I didn't have to trade in a car, I could have probably gotten it for a grand less and autos usually go for less in my area.

Having said that, just off the top of my head, the gears are probably worth about $600, wheels another $600 minimum, headers another $600. You guys who do a lot of mods, maybe you can give him an idea of what they are worth on this car.
