Anything to worry about? First off guys, i'm sorry if this is a redundant topic. Anyway, my '98 has the dreaded lifter "tick" at start up now that it's getting chilly here in missouri. It only does it when its cold out, and i'd say for about a minute. I normally just let the car sit a minute or so after start up before i drive it because when i give it acceleration it just sounds like **** and i hate it lol. My car just kicked over 137,000 miles today, and still runs strong. This is the only 'problem' it really has. Anyway, this is normal right? Nothing to worry too much about?

Sometimes people try different weights and during different seasons it will come and go. A lifter tick will really get going on ya as you start raising the rpms and driving around. Thats what I know from 2 of mine doing that on 2 different cars. I also had piston slap on one of them that appeared to have disappeared after installing a 16* overlap cam.
