Default MS4 w/ Patriot Stage 3 heads???????

Ive started on my new build and trying to decide exactly how I want everything and I am looking for some input on the heads. Before I get to far, I am on a limited budget and most likely will be going with Patriot or PRC heads, leaning more toward Patriot for the fact that I live about 20 mins from their shop. Here is what ive got so far, Im keeping stock CI, Scat H-beam rods w/ Mahle Piston w/ -4cc valve reliefs, and a MS4 camshaft specs are 239/242 .649/ .609 111LSA, I was considering the Patriot Stage 3 Heads, but Ive read where some people say its to big of a head for stock CI, here are the specs on these heads if not familiar with it:
Combustion Chamber: 64cc
Intake Runner: 227cc
Exhaust Runner: 70cc
Intake Valve: 2.08"
Exhaust Valve: 1.60"
Max. Valve Spring Lift: 0.650"
Spring Pressure Closed: 135 lbs. @ 1.800"
Spring Pressure Open: 375 lbs. @ 1.090"
Retainer Material: Titanium
Valve Seal Material: Viton
Valve Guide Material: Manganese Bronze
Valve Job: 5-angle

There site says they flow 320intake @ .600 and 235exhaust @ 600. Would this head be wrong for my setup?? Thanks

I would think with that cam it would be decent for it making power up top, but maybe lose some down low. I am considering these heads also....but for my 408

the prc 227s that TSP likes to put on the MS4s have 227/84cc runner, i dont see why the stage 3 wouldnt work as long as they are the right bore size and clear the pistons (after cutting)

intake valves over 2.04" is a overkill for stock cubes

IMO opinion your setup sounds great for them. What inatke would you top it off with? The stage 3 sound a lot like the prc 227s and every setup ive seen that was ms4/227 has ran like a raped ape, but they also had ported fasts on top. Not saying a normal 92/92 or even 102/102 wouldnt be good, but i think a LS6 intake would hinder perfemance just because of not being able to get enough air in

You'll definitely have to flycut your pistons for that combo! If you're interested in a head that does not require cutting piston,s I would consider the PRC Stage 1 LS6's or the PRC 227's (same as on our record holder car in my sig)! We have a $150 off special for the LS6's and $250 off the aftermarket casting 227's right now!

I would go with the 227s from Tsp. Might as well go with a winning/proven combo. There are some patriot/ms4 combos but i think you would be much happier with either the tsp 215s or the tsp 227.

Go Patriots For the price you can't beat them! Cam only I put down 366/341 and then later added my Patriot Stage 2 5.3's & LS6 intake and put down 417/375. I paid $600 for my Patriot heads almost brand new unassembled and for that price I'd say they are a pretty good head!

The Patriot stage 3's are nothing like the PRC 227's... The 227's are their own casting using a 2.06 intake valve that is set-up in the head in a way to provide clearance.. Patriot uses 243 castings with a huge 2.08 valve that will hinder flow on stock ci.. They specifically say for larger ci engines.
