K and N FIPK
what do you guys think of this compared to a regular high flow airbox lid?
I mainly got it because I thought it would be at least as good, but liked appearance better....

If you have a Z28, you won't get **** for air flow. I had it at one time, because I liked the appearance better, but it doesn't work properly without ram air, or unless you cut a big hole in the metal part. Definitely not worth it on a non-ramair hood.

i did the free ram air mod with my stock box and it was okay...
as for this FIPK, I do not want to open up the metal at the bottom because I do not want to open it up to the underside of the car for rain days etc

I have the FIPK on my 99 Trans Am. When I put it on I could definitely feel a big difference I love it. I drilled a big hole on the FIPK plate and no water ever gets to it. Also I drilled holes in the front of my hood where the hood latch is. Works great
