Cool Torque specs

Im starting my lq9 build. so my first question. Is the torques specs for the bottom end the same as a ls1. plus, i wasn't sure if the arp bolts share the same torque specs, im thinking of buying some. any body been in that situation?

For the mains, yes the specs are the same between all LSx engines (4.8L-7.0L). The rod bolts change though, depending on the type of bolt. Early style bolts look like the threads go almost all the way to the underside of the head of the bolt; they get 15ft-lbs plus 60 degrees. Later style have a long smooth shank under the head of the bolt; they get 15 ft-lbs plus 75 degrees.

ARP bolts DO NOT have the same torque specs, they don't even share the same method of tightening the fasteners!

Whenever you go with ARP fasteners, make sure you follow their guidelines for lubrication and tightening of them.
