Default 1969 Camaro front disc brake conversion kits

If any of you have done a drum to disc front brake conversion, what kit would you recommend for the price? I have browsed Summit and Jegs, and it seems that $650-$750 is the norm for their conversion kits.

+1 on that. The Kore3 C5 caliper adapters in conjunction with stock C5 calipers/rotors work quite well. The only drawback is the 17" wheel requirement.

With patient, diligent parts searches , the caliper/rotor cost can be exceptionally reasonable. Replacement of the common wear items in the finished setup is hassle-free, unlimited and cost-effective.

I have the C5 brakes on a 68 Camaro. They work great. I have autocrossed it for 2 years, and they performed well. I have the hybrid kit on front. It uses a c4 rotor and a C5 caliper, I think it uses the speed tech brackets.the rear is all c5 from Kore 3. I had about 650 in each end.

That is about the going rate for the kits described. The Strange kit is more for the drag race only set-up, Wilwood has several kits available that have the vented rotors that are solid or drilled and slotted. The intended use of Your car will help determine the best kit for You.
I can save You some money compared to Jegs and Summit on these kits, it wont be a tremendous amount but it will be worthwhile. More importantly I can offer personalized service before and after the sale.
Let Me know if You would like to discuss the kit best suited for You.
Thanks,
Carl

Jegs or summit sells a cheap spindle now, classic industries sells the caliper brackets, everything else you can get from any auto parts store

I got a full big brake setup from cpp and have been driving on it for awhile. I like it but if I were to do it over again I would have gone with the ATS spindles and C5 stuff.

Yeah I know the C5 stuff is awesome, but I don't want to have to put 17 or 18" wheels on. I'm sticking with the stock rally wheels. I will probably get ahold of Carl@CRP when I'm ready to order.
