Default Hollow/Sodium filled valves?

Which engines came with the hollow/sodium filled valves? Only the LS6? Or would a vette with the LS2 have them as well?

As far as I know it was just the 243 heads that had them.

Yeah, but Im pretty sure not all 243 heads have them. Any easy way to identify these valves?

yeah if i'm not mistaken it was only the c5z's that had the sodium/hollow valves. i may be brain farting but i can't think of another...

edit: can't remember if the cts-v's had them or not.

The ones that generally came on the "LS6" block have them. So yes, the C5Z.

The 2005-2006 CTS-Vs with LS6s did come with 243s with the hollow/sodiium-fliled valves.

What Darkman said. The 243's obviously came on the LS6 and the LS2 but the only heads to get hollow/sodium filled valves were the ones bolted to the LS6 including the 04-05 CTS-V. The 06-07 had the LS2 and they did not have the hollow/sodium filled valves. So if you find a set off a V, find out for sure what year they came off of. I do not know how to tell the difference just by looking. I have a set of the hollow valves in my garage that are bad. I broke a rod and kissed a piston. Found a whole set on here brand new for less than one valve from the dealer. I can tell you they are ridiculously light.

since we're on the topic, anyone care to touch on how much more the sodium valve heads go for compared to the regular 243s? $500'ish?
