Running Rich
Hey guys I have an 2005 iron 6.0l and I swapped on an ls6 intake and a gm ls1 hot cam and am running everything with an 02 camaro computer. My AFR is reading below 12 on startup and it gradually works its way up to 12.7 and about that time my short term fuel trims kick in and trim it 30% to get it to 14.6... In addition to AFR being rich, the exhaust has an extremely rich smell. So can anyone tell me how to begin correcting this??

Your misfire tables in the Engine Diagnostic section are still the stock settings. You will set false misfire codes with almost any cam that lopes and stock tables. The lope of your cam looks like a misfire to the misfire detection in the PCM. It is looking at the rate of acceleration of the CKP sensor. The false misfires will keep a lockup converter from locking up too if you are using one. You have to either raise the values in the tables or disable misfire detection completely. If your mail order tuner know about all your mods and gave you the tune you posted he didn't do a very good job.

Ya I told my tuner it was misfiring and he acted like it shouldn't be but he didnt change the misfire tables. He sent me this new tune because i told him my car dies when I shift it into reverse or try to throttle and let off of it, but its basically the same as the old one.
