LS TA more desirable than a Formula?

LS TA more desirable than a Formula?
I should be in the right section...
I'm considering converting my 99 Formula to a TA. I may sell it but I wonder if the TA is more desirable. I know the obvious the Formulas look like the V6 Firebird but they are also the lightest Fbod and a sleeper.
Thoughts, I don't know if its worth it.

Trans Am may cost marginally more simply because it's the higher trim level, but a clean formula with the same options will never be far behind if at all. You certainly won't increase the value of your car by doing the swap, so just do what you like best.

It depends on how the market in your area is. Some people absolutely want a T/A, but some also like the "sleeper" factor of the Formula. I've never been a huge Pontiac fan, but if i had to chose, i'd try to find a WS6 Formula. I just love the way they look.
If you're not planning on selling the car, I guess it's your call as to what would make you happier. If you are selling, i'd leave it the way it is. I don't think it would be worth the money you'd be spending (new parts, paint, labor, etc) and i don't think you would make any extra on the sale. Plus, if you wait long enough, someone will come along who will pay you what your asking just because it is a Formula

Thanks guys very good answers. Thing is I had a deal fall through on an 98 SS HT 6spd before Xmas, in the mean time I picked up this Formula and its now a clean car. My original plan was convert to TA and put that sick VFN Hood on it but now with the SS back in play and in my garage next week, my wife will flip with 3 fbods at home. So the Formula should be sold unless I can convince her that one is hers

I never much cared for the looks of the TA. I don't like the foglights in the middle, the spoiler, or the rear bumper. I run TD's out the sides so if I had a TA I'd be screwed. I hate the way dumped or in my case side exit TD's look on a TA with the big gapping holes in the rear. Fake tips are gay.

I say keep it a formula. I wanted a formula, but my T/A was in too nice of shape and too good of a deal so I went for it. I love formulas though nothing like the sleeper look. People around here see the big spoiler and fog lights on my car and they get scared lol. I would rather have a formula so I wouldn't draw as much attention. That way when people try to pick on my "V6 firebird" I can show them what's really going on ha ha.

I had a TA hatch on my old car. If I had to do it all over again I would leave the car as a Formula and just give it a more aggressive stance. Firebird's never looks complete when you start crossing Trans Am style with the Formula.

The forumula looks so unfinished/incomplete with it's lack of body cladding, etc. The look from the rear is with the crappy lil spoiler and the clumsy looking rear bumper.
If you wanna mod it sure, but otherwise I'd get a T/A and have the real deal.
