Default Question about installing stock crank pulley?

I have a 97 corvette ls1 that I'm putting the stock pulley back on the crank!how do I know if it's on all the way,will the inner edge of pulley sit flush with the end of the crank??

Stick the water pump on and see if the pulley grooves and belt marks on the pump line up.

I would except my water pump and pulley have never been used!

There is a procedure that should be followed and part of it is the measurement from the edge of the pulley hub to the end of the crank snout. Don't use a bolt to pull it on.
