Default high comp. and timing

Do you need to LOWER the "cruise area" in the timing table if you are running higher compression??
I have a H/C (and blower) car, and have noticed my highway mpg is lower than I feel it should be. Got to thinking, that maybe since I have around 10.9 comp, maybe it would help to lower the timing a few degrees in the cruise area.
WOT and idle seem to be dead on.

Just a thought
