i am fairly new to the ls1 game. i recently bought a 1998 z28 camaro with a running ls1 but no trans. the car is an a4 car so i need a 4l60e. i am not exactly sure which 4l60e's will work. if a trans out of a 99 and up GM v8 2wd truck will work, then i could probably save some money. a 4l60e for a 1998 z28 at the local junkyard is $600 and i aint about to drop that kinda cash if i can find a better deal. if anybody has some input about the specific years and versions of 4l60e that will work on my car, please let me know. thanks.
