Better question would be who doesn't like it. You should also check out Circle D converters

last 7-8 years I have been happy with Dave's ( YANK) advice,
I ran ST 3500, ( I think the SS replaced the ST )for quite a while now on a SS4000 and still happy
The ST shift extends were about 51-5300 @ a 63-6400 shift, and handel well strip/street

That's what they told me 6 years ago. Wouldn't trade it for nothing, as for how it works I have a bolt-on LT1 with a 1.74 60' @ 3900 lbs.

Ive been running mine for about 8 months now. I love it! With the 2.73's it gets a little annoying but when the hammer goes down, its all smiles!

I had one on my old stock motor/bolt ons WS6. Loved it! I could stomp the petal from a dead stop (no brakes) and it would go sideways through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with regular street tires.

I love my SS3600. I was scared to get a converter for a long time. I didn't even get down my 1/8th mile unpaved driveway before I fell in love.

Car didn't pull itself around, still responded to even the slightest throttle though.

Then I pulled onto the pavement and all my doubts about a stall went up in smoke and a smile was plastered across my face.

I will never own a non-stalled automatic again. Ever. I daily drive mine in a heavy A body too, I would expect it to be even better in an average F body.
