Clear side markers look.... PINK?
I got into an accident a few months back and one of the rear side markers was broken in half, i replaced it with clear ones since they were cheaper than factory red ones and thought they would look pretty good with the silver.
Well they look great when they are off, but at night when the lights go on, the red bulb inside the clear lens just looks pink. Is there any way to fix this or should i just switch to orange bulbs?

Brand new bulb, brand new lens both out of the box it looked that way, its just a striking difference when the taillight is right above it. I will give the LED a shot though.

It happens because the tinting on the bulb is not dark enough.
An easy solution is to get some red enamel model paint, Testors is a good brand, and paint over it. It will look red when it is finished and on. I have done this with regular light bulbs and it works on them too.
