Default 4L60E valve body question

I am in the process of rebuilding a 4l60e and wondering if my valve body is ok to use because I found this. It looks like the check ball beat the crap out of the casting. The seperator plate was very beat up and I got a replacement for that already.

What do you guys think?

What you see is normal for these units. Clean up the slag, and install Torlon .250" checkballs from a Ford AOD or AODE. I've installed these in all of my rebuild kits & modified TransGo Shift kits for years now. Sonnax is offering these too, with their valve body fixes.

I would have to agree that it does look normal. Torlon ***** are a great product and I have been using them in my builds for as long as I can remember. Deburr it and run it with a new separator plate. Vince
