Parts difference between 4L60E's?
Hi, I am in London UK and am using a 4L60E from a V6 Camaro behind a Vin9 Northstar (300/300 - bell-housing fits N*). I have seen a similar box (4L60E RWD) behind a 5.3 L33 from a silverado with a different trans code on it (5KCD). I know the L33 makes 310/340, I suspect the Camaro a lot less and in a lighter car.
Both gearboxes have the removable bell-housing making swaps easy, but which box will have the better internals, or would they both need rebuild for higher HP?
The N* will end up running throttle bodies and making around 400 hp.
Any thoughts?
