Default Intake pics

Oh yeah! Just sat it(intake) on to see how it looked, I like it! Now to fix up that wiring disaster, some cleaning, bolt down intake, install injectors and fire that bitch up!

Tighten down those struts just a smidge before you take off.

Looks great. How long did it take you to take the intake off? What all do you have to take off in order to get the intake off? Also, what color did you use. Whatever color it is, it goes perfectly with your pewter TA.

It's the exact same color as my car, same paint.. I recently had my car painted and this was some leftover paint.. Intakes are not hard.. First time took me a few hours, now 45 minutes or less... Biggest thing to watch for, is not to break your oil pressure sending unit with the brake booster hose that runs off the back of the intake. There's a link somewhere around tech somewhere, I'll see if I can find it for you..

Found it: http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=5

Can't see the pics here at work but I'm sure it looks great. Those valve covers I've seen and they turned out really nice. Have a good one, and a cold one.

So what did you do as far as prep work for the intake/valvecovers? And how many coats did you spray? Clear?

They look badass man. I bought a Sunoco hood that I'll be painting soon and I wouldn't mind doing this while I'm spraying that...

Thanks! Guy who painted my car painted the valve covers and intake.. Never asked how many coats, and yes, cleared.. Here's an older thread... Post 12 I think show's how I did the valve covers..
