LS1 Camaro hood pin mount location?
Need some examples of hood pins installed on an LS1 Camaro, preferably with an SS hood.
My flew open the other day and really screwed up my car. Ruined my SS hood, hood grille, stripes, windshield, and all kinds of other stuff.
Not going to take that chance again. Plus I have 4 cars with Fiberglass hoods so I went ahead and bought 4 sets of pins.
Any pics of the mount locations that any of you might have?
I will be using a bolt on latchable hood, but with the pins as added security.
Thanks

Now I just have to figure out where to put them on my third-gen camaro and my LT1 Trans Am.

On my third gen, I just took out the front hood stops and replaced them with pins, then figure out where that is on the hood and drill a hole there. Pretty simple.
Here is another pic with my old pin on hood (now have a 4 inch VFN bolt on)

It was raining and one of my wipers looked loose. I popped the hood, removed the cowl trim and fixed it, then I swear I closed it, since my hood takes a bit of work to close.
Next day on the way to work - 2nd gear = whammy.
Either way, I'm not taking any chances this time, or any other time I run a glass hood that has STRUTS!
A hood without struts will just bob up and down until you notice it. My hood looked closed, and didn't move, until it was too late.
